The Tr’ondëk Hwëch’in (TH) Health and Social Department is partnering with CFYT Radio to broadcast a live, 30-minute discussion on the legacy of Indian Residential Schools. This broadcast, titled “Why Can’t the Past be the Past?”, is the first of an eight-part series that will air from the Dänojà Zho Cultural Centre starting Monday, February 10th, at 7:00 p.m. People can either attend the event or tune in at 106.9 FM in Dawson City or online here at www.cfyt.wordpress.com
Thanks to everyone who came out to CFYT’s Annual General Meeting tonight despite the chilly weather. We happily welcome Ben Rudis, Jonathan Ostrander, and Alicia Newman as new additions to the Board of Directors, joining continuing board members Georgia Hammond, Peter Menzies, Kathryn Hepburn, and myself. Thanks to outgoing members John M Watt, Capri Skye Simpson, and Whitebread SoundWave for your hard work and continued support as volunteers. Great to hear from the membership and community– good meeting!
